Mark 7:13 "Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye." (KJV)

When Jesus was having a discussion with the pharisees, he discovered that they honoured their traditions above the commandment of God. What should have been obvious to them was found to not even be a priority. Therefore, he started to teach them how to obey God correctly.

The verse shows us how that in many things, men make the word of God of none effect through their traditions; thereby concluding that God does not work. Traditions are customs/wisdoms/knowledge that man creates through his experience. These are good, but they are limited in power and, therefore, can not fully bring the purposes of God to manifestation.

To function in a God way, one must separate himself from the limitations of human wisdom.

Human tradition/wisdom is great, but you can never go far if all you know is wrapped in the boundaries of human ability. Many times in your life, you're going to have to believe God above your traditions.
