As ministers of God, God reveals many things to us and sometimes he does not allow us to openly mention them but permits us to fast and pray about them; through a type of fast called the redemption fast. This is the kind that averts a perceived calamity.
The verse shows us a ship on which Paul the apostle was sailing as a prisoner who through prayer perceived that they would have a ship wreck. Having told the ship owners and the prison wardens, they believed him not. But because he was already fasting; even though the ship was destroyed, no lives were lost.
God can allow us to pray and fast for a reversal of certain occurrences.
Therefore, today as you fast and pray, understand that there are things God has revealed to his ministers pertaining to your ministry and life that ought not to happen. Take time and pray against anything that is not in the will of God for you.
Concerning your ministry, pray against distraction and confusion. Concerning your life, pray for focus and stability. Concerning your spiritual growth, pray for maturity of the spirit.
Prophetic Declarations
Blessed God! I thank you for my life, I thank you because my ministry becomes that which you purposed it to be in God. I thank you because you cause lines to fall unto me in pleasant places, I thank you because I walk in your will with ease. AMEN
