DAY NINETEEN: PRAYER AND FASTING

1 Peter 2:9 "But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:" (KJV)

One day, I found a verse that I thought could not exist in the bible because I thought like everyone else; who is man that God would favour him? We are just a vapour. This thinking has put Kings to death before their time; this mindset has frustrated many visionaries. But thanks be to God for 1 Peter 2:9.

The verse tells us that we are a chosen generation, a holy nation, a peculiar people. This understanding opened my eyes to how God thought of me. You see, once a man understands God's view of them, suddenly the word impossible vanishes. You see the world very differently.

God has never called anyone for a small assignment.

Whosoever God called, he mandated them a great destiny, a great responsibility. You are not what you think you are. You are what God says you are. Therefore, as you pray today, ask God to open your eyes to the fullness of his love for you.
